SPIN is an active stool. When you sit on it, you adopt an active position, somewhere between sitting and standing, i.e. you sit on the stool and rest your feet on the floor or footrest.

The stool design makes it possible to sit comfortably for long hours. It offers a tilting seat and/or base system that follows the user's movements. This design ensures correct posture, which is important when sitting for long periods of time.

The seat features a special filling that is designed to provide a comfortable position, to reduce pressure on the thighs and to maintain the correct posture without slipping when the tilt mechanisms are used.

The tilt seat variant has a mechanism that allows the seat to tilt to either side. The tilting base variant allows the entire structure (from floor upwards) to tilt to either side. It is also possible to combine the two tilt mechanisms. This makes the stool extremely comfortable to sit on.

SPIN can be configured in three different ways:

Active variant

• the fully active variant has at least one of the two tilt mechanisms (in the seat or in the base)
• the base is offered without castors (to prevent the chair from ‘walking’) and a seat without a foot rest (to keep the feet on the floor)

Semi-active variant

• in a more traditional variant, similar to a classic stool, physical activity is only provided by a tilting seat
• it is possible to use a base with castors and a foot rest

Fixed variant

• in this variant, SPIN is a simple stool without a tilting mechanism

SPIN can be upholstered with fabrics from our range. Breathable and natural fabrics, such as wool (LANEE), are particularly recommended. For medical applications, we recommend VALENCIA artificial leather, which has a number of properties required for this type of application and has relevant approvals.

The 3D THESIS chair base allows the seat and column to be tilted. Tilt is smooth and silent. It works in any direction (360°) within a range of 7°.

The seat with the 3D LOGICO mechanism allows the seat only to be tilted. The seat can be tilted smoothly and silently in any direction (360°) within a range of 8°.

The LOGICO mechanism combined with the THESIS base gives a chair in which both the base and seat tilt in any direction (360°) within a total range of 15°.
